MrPEX® Systems for your geothermal (sometimes known as
ground source) cooling needs.
Utilize the coolness of the earth to cool the inside of your
buildings. In some cases the cost of cooling your home can
be reduced by up to 50% compared to conventional air
conditioning systems. The process is relatively simple.
Install about 300 to 400 feet of “Pex Pipe” at a depth of 10
feet in ground. This gives you plenty of cool water (about 60
degrees) to run through a heat exchanger in your Plenum for
cooling purposes.
This process also can supply enough warm water (about 60
degrees) in the winter to pre-heat your air intake for most
“Heat Pump” systems so they do not require heat strips in the
plenum.
